₩50,000 buys one Sky Capsule for two people, traveling one way between Mipo and Cheongsapo. Your return needs a separate plan. For two adults riding from Mipo and returning directly by Beach Train, the published standard fares add up to ₩66,000, compared with ₩73,000 for the two-person package. Choose according to the train rides you will actually use.
Official information checked October 22, 2026. Prices below use Blueline Park’s current fare table and May 1, 2026 fare-change notice. Calculations assume standard adult fares without local-resident or other concessions.
First choose the experience
The Sky Capsule travels about 2 km between Mipo and Cheongsapo, taking roughly 30 minutes one way. The Beach Train covers the longer Mipo–Cheongsapo–Songjeong coastal route, with intermediate stops.
| Your priority | Start with this choice |
|---|---|
| A small cabin ride with your group | Sky Capsule, then choose how to leave the destination |
| Moving between coastal stops | Beach Train, with the right number of boardings |
| A capsule plus several train stops | Compare the package with separate tickets |
| A meal and a beach walk | Decide whether a timed ride adds enough value to your day |
For the last option, our Busan beach and seafood route guide helps keep the day in one area. A ticket should serve your itinerary rather than force you to cross the city twice.
Read the capsule price as a group total
The current official prices are per capsule, with the fare determined by passenger count:
| Standard passengers | One capsule, one way | Cost per person if split evenly |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | ₩50,000 | ₩25,000 |
| 3 | ₩55,000 | About ₩18,333 |
| 4 | ₩60,000 | ₩15,000 |
The operator’s FAQ says the cabin has the same space for two, three or four people. Paying for four changes the permitted passenger count, not the cabin size. Families with infants should check the operator’s age and occupancy rules before choosing an option.
Two adults: compare the complete return plan
This calculation starts at Mipo, takes the capsule to Cheongsapo, and ends back at Mipo. The revised fare schedule sets a single Beach Train boarding from Cheongsapo at ₩8,000 per adult. The Korean package description specifies one-way capsule travel plus the train’s all-stops pass.
| Plan for two adults | Calculation | Total |
|---|---|---|
| Capsule out; one direct train ride back | ₩50,000 + 2 × ₩8,000 | ₩66,000 |
| Two-person capsule + all-stops train package | Published package total | ₩73,000 |
| Capsule in both directions | 2 × ₩50,000 | ₩100,000 |
Our comparison: the package costs ₩7,000 more than the simple capsule-out/train-back plan. That extra spending can make sense if you want additional train stops; it adds little if you only want to return directly. Conversely, buying the capsule and two separate ₩16,000 all-stops passes totals ₩82,000, so the package saves ₩9,000 against that specific combination.
Direction changes the calculation. A single train boarding from Mipo costs ₩10,000 per adult: taking the train out first and the capsule back totals ₩70,000 for two. Neither calculation includes getting to the park, food or onward transport. Prices do not establish that the required slots are available together.
The train rules also matter: an all-stops pass allows one boarding at each station, and you must get off at the Mipo and Songjeong endpoints. Train seats are unassigned, so a ticket does not guarantee a seat. Keep the intended stop sequence alongside the price comparison.
Book the departure station you intend to use
Use the official English reservation page. It says a new Monday–Sunday week, four weeks ahead, opens each Tuesday at 7 a.m. Korean time. Set your calendar in Asia/Seoul and check which visit dates have actually opened.
Choose the facility, departure station, passenger count and date before comparing times. Mipo-to-Cheongsapo and Cheongsapo-to-Mipo are separate choices; the visitor instructions require boarding at your booked station.
The capsule’s half-hour reservation is an entry window, followed by boarding in sequence. For example, an 11:00–11:30 booking does not promise arrival at 11:30. Keep room for the queue and the ride before your next fixed appointment. A selected sunset slot also cannot guarantee the exact light when you enter the cabin.
Foreign card failure or a sold-out slot
The official FAQ warns that some overseas cards may fail because of authentication. If that happens, check your booking and payment status before trying another purchase. The operator publishes an official ticket-vendor list for alternative sales channels.
When comparing a seller’s offer, establish whether it supplies a confirmed dated boarding ticket or a voucher requiring another reservation. Check the chosen direction, passenger count, remaining reservation step, total price and cancellation terms. A voucher alone should not be treated as a confirmed time slot.
For a sold-out online slot, you can check the opposite direction if it fits your route. The reservation guide also lists a small, separate first-come on-site allocation; availability is uncertain. The FAQ warns that these tickets can sell out before noon. Decide how much of your day you are willing to leave flexible.
Leave a realistic gap after the ride
The operator warns that capsule queues can delay arrival enough to miss the last Beach Train. Check the current train timetable for your return station before committing to a late capsule slot.
Hypothetical itinerary: if you book a capsule entry window ending at 5:30 p.m., a dinner booking at 5:45 p.m. near your starting station leaves no credible allowance for the ride, queue and return. Move the meal or choose an earlier ride.
An aquarium visit near Haeundae is another separate booking decision. If you are leaving Busan that evening, work backward from your KTX or express-bus departure, including the journey from the coast to the actual terminal. The useful ticket is the one whose whole route fits your day.
