Check the prescription-lens plan before buying Gentle Monster frames in Korea. The brand’s Korea customer-care FAQ, under HAUS NOWHERE, says exchanges and returns are not accepted after original lenses are removed or prescription lenses installed. Confirm the model, complete price and collection deadline while the frame is still unaltered.

Official pages checked October 25, 2026. This guide helps you plan a purchase; a particular shop must confirm your actual frame and lens order.

Can a Gentle Monster store make your prescription lenses?

The same FAQ says RX service varies by country and store. It also warns that some sunglasses’ designs restrict prescription-lens work, and custom lenses may make repairs difficult. A general claim that every Korean branch does—or never does—RX work is too broad.

Start with the official store locator. Ask the selected branch or an authorized optical retailer about the exact model, rather than asking only whether it handles the brand. A frame-adjustment appointment does not establish that your lens order can be produced there.

Choose the order of your shopping stops

Our suggested sequence is choose a model → confirm the lens order → compare the complete cost → pay → authorize the work. It gives you a chance to change the shopping plan before alteration begins. Confirmation should cover the model you will actually buy, not a similar-looking display pair.

Bring your current glasses and prescription if available, and explain the lenses you want. Let the optician assess the order; do not choose a different prescription merely to meet a travel deadline.

Same-day glasses are a possibility, not your pickup appointment

For a concrete example of the wording to look for, Glasslink Sadang’s own visitor page says most single-vision glasses are ready quickly, but the optician confirms the exact time at the visit. That page does not confirm acceptance of your particular Gentle Monster frame.

Ask for a collection date and time after the shop checks your complete order. If you want tinted, photochromic or progressive lenses, name the option when asking. A timing answer for a different lens is not a useful promise for yours.

Plan backward from the last time you can realistically return to that shop. For example, if you leave Seoul on Friday morning, “ready Friday” may be unusable. A Thursday collection could leave time for checking the finished pair, provided the shop confirms that schedule. This is an itinerary example, not a production-time estimate.

If the confirmed deadline does not work, compare a different confirmed order, buying later, or keeping your current glasses for the trip. Do not build an airport journey around an unconfirmed delivery arrangement.

Get one complete quote and keep the seller clear

Write down frame price + lens work + any agreed extras = total payable. Ask which fitting or adjustment services are included. A low frame price alone does not tell you the cost of the finished pair, and two quotes are only comparable when they cover the same requested work.

Gentle Monster’s FAQ separately says optical-shop purchases follow that retailer’s exchange/refund policy and cannot be returned through the brand’s directly operated stores. Ask your actual seller about changes, cancellation and aftercare before authorizing lens work; a receipt from one business does not describe another business’s responsibilities.

Keep the frame receipt, model details, lens-order specification and promised collection time together. At pickup, check that the order matches those details and ask the optician to address any fit or vision concern before you leave. Ask how follow-up would work after you return home; do not assume another country or branch will handle it for free.

You can show these questions at the counter:

  • 이 안경테에 제 도수로 렌즈를 맞출 수 있나요? — Can you make lenses with my prescription for this frame?
  • 언제 찾을 수 있나요? 날짜와 시간을 알려 주세요. — When can I collect them? Please give me the date and time.
  • 렌즈 작업 전에 교환·환불 조건을 확인하고 싶어요. — I’d like to confirm the exchange and refund conditions before lens work starts.
