An online Shilla or Lotte duty-free order for Incheon is collected when you depart Korea. You cannot collect that departure order when you land for your holiday. If you need the skincare during your stay, plan a purchase you can take away then. Shilla’s collection guide explicitly places pickup on the departure day.

This guide covers Shilla and Lotte airport-pickup orders at Incheon, using official instructions checked October 25, 2026. Arrival duty-free shops are a separate shopping route.

Choose the shopping route before comparing discounts

What you needPractical route
Skincare to use on your first days in SeoulBuy from a shop that hands you the goods at purchase; do not depend on a departure-pickup order.
A Shilla or Lotte online order to take homeEnter the flight leaving Korea and collect at the assigned departure pickup counter.
Something from an Incheon arrival duty-free shopCheck that shop’s own stock and purchase process. It is not the collection desk for the departure order above.
A tax refund on an ordinary Korean store purchaseKeep that store’s refund documents and use the applicable tax-refund procedure.

Incheon Airport’s official shopping directory lists arrival duty-free shops in the baggage-claim area as well as departure shops and pickup facilities. Their existence does not make an online departure order available on arrival.

Also check the airport versus port wording. Lotte’s collection instructions include a separate arrival-pickup arrangement at Busan Port. That is not an Incheon Airport arrival service.

Which flight should you enter?

Use the departure from Korea associated with your collection, not the flight bringing you to Seoul.

Hypothetical itinerary: you land at Incheon on November 2 and fly from Incheon to Singapore on November 8. For the departure-pickup order described here, your collection belongs to the November 8 flight. Buying on November 1 does not make the goods available when you land on November 2.

Before payment, copy these details from your actual booking into one note:

  • The collecting traveler’s name and passport details.
  • Departure airport, date and flight number.
  • The terminal and pickup location shown for the order.
  • The seller’s order cutoff and any item-specific restrictions.

If your flight is missing from the order form, check the direction and departure airport first. Do not choose a similar flight simply to get through checkout. For a connection through Incheon, ask the retailer to confirm eligibility, the onward flight to enter and access to the assigned counter before paying.

Build pickup into your departure sequence

The useful sequence is check-in and bag drop → departure checks → assigned pickup counter → boarding gate. Confirm the counter from your order; a branded shop in the terminal is not automatically the desk holding your parcel.

Shilla’s FAQ recommends reaching its pickup counter one to two hours before departure and warns that passenger volume can delay collection. Lotte asks customers to reach its counter at least one hour before departure. These are counter-arrival recommendations, not instructions to arrive at the airport only then.

Planning example: for an 18:00 flight, a personal target of 16:00 at the counter leaves time to collect and continue to the gate. Work backward from that target using your airline’s check-in requirements, departure checks and walking time. Replace the example with your flight’s actual boarding deadline; it is not a guarantee that a two-hour airport visit is enough.

Bring the order documents

Take your physical passport, boarding pass and exchange voucher or bill. Shilla’s collection guide asks online customers to print the voucher. Lotte’s instructions permit its app’s barcode e-exchange bill with the physical passport.

Keep the order under the collecting traveler’s identity. Lotte requires the travel and passport details to match the order; Shilla says the purchasing and departing person must match. Check the package’s item names and quantities while staff can resolve a discrepancy.

Leave room for the parcel

A departure pickup happens after you have normally handed over checked bags. Plan space for the package in what you will carry onward.

Before ordering heavy sets or liquids, check your operating airline’s cabin-baggage rules and any security screening on later connections. Do not assume an extra duty-free bag is outside the allowance. The Jeju Air cabin-baggage guide shows why the smaller bag and shopping also need attention.

If the flight changes or you miss pickup

Contact the retailer through the order record promptly. Confirm whether it can update the departure details or cancel the order, and what happens to discounts or gifts. Do not assume another flight, a companion’s passport or a later airport visit will work without arranging it.

Lotte’s instructions say these orders cannot be shipped to your address. Shilla also rules out collecting a missed departure order on arrival. Keep the order number and any written cancellation confirmation until the payment outcome is clear.

For purchases you receive in a normal store, use our Korea tax-refund guide to plan the separate paperwork. To compare the contents of cosmetic bundles before choosing a seller, use the Olive Young set worksheet. A duty-free label alone does not establish the best total price for the items you actually want.
