Incheon’s N6701 night bus has a 2-hour-5-minute gap between its 01:40 and 03:45 departures from Terminal 1. At Terminal 2, the same gap runs from 01:20 to 03:25. For a hotel near Seoul Station, Euljiro or Dongdaemun, choose the departure you can actually reach after collecting your bags. Missing that T1 bus by five minutes can leave a two-hour wait.
Official schedules and fares checked October 22, 2026. All times below are local Korean time. The worked example is hypothetical. Recheck your travel date on the official pages before relying on a departure.
The N6701 gap: use your own terminal’s column
The K Airport Limousine N6701 page, under Timetables → To downtown, lists these departures. The airport’s Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 night-bus guides show the same times.
| Departure from T2 | Departure from T1 |
|---|---|
| 23:30 | 23:50 |
| 00:20 | 00:40 |
| 01:20 | 01:40 |
| 03:25 | 03:45 |
| 04:20 | 04:40 |
The operator writes the second row as 24:20 / 24:40; this table uses 00:20 / 00:40 after midnight. Check the calendar date as well as the clock. Choose the citybound / To downtown timetable.
What that means if you are ready at 01:45
Imagine you have cleared arrival procedures and reached the T1 boarding area at 01:45. The 01:40 departure has gone; the next listed N6701 is 03:45. That leaves 120 minutes before departure, followed by the road journey and the final leg to your hotel.
This is a timetable calculation, not an estimate of immigration or baggage-reclaim speed. Your landing time is not your bus-ready time. Use the actual time you reach public arrivals to reassess the plan, then check ticket availability and the current service with the airport counter. Do not plan a terminal change just to chase the other column.
Match the route to the hotel, not just “Seoul”
The airport’s night-bus guides list these useful city stops. Use this shortlist to find the route page for your hotel.
| Your hotel area | Night route to inspect |
|---|---|
| Mapo, Seoul Station, Euljiro or DDP | N6701 |
| Hongdae | N6002 |
| Gangnam Express Bus Terminal area | N6000 |
| COEX or Jamsil Lotte World area | N6703 |
For Myeongdong, N6701’s operator page names Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station / Lotte Hotel Seoul. That is not Myeongdong Station. Locate your hotel’s exact entrance and the arrival stop on a map before choosing it; a suitcase walk across the neighborhood may change your decision. Likewise, Gangnam Express Bus Terminal is a different destination from Gangnam Station.
Use your terminal’s official guide to check the other routes’ times. Each route has its own timetable. A different route is useful only if its drop-off and onward journey work for your hotel at that hour. For daytime options, see our Myeongdong bus-versus-AREX guide.
Four adults: compare a ₩72,000 bus total with a real taxi quote
N6701’s published adult fare is ₩18,000 per person. For four fare-paying adults, that is 4 × ₩18,000 = ₩72,000, before any ride needed from the bus stop to your accommodation.
That calculation gives you a useful comparison point. Get a quote for a vehicle that fits all passengers and suitcases, and ask whether it includes tolls and any night surcharge. Compare that total with the group’s bus tickets, the wait and the final hotel leg. Four passengers with large bags should confirm capacity rather than assume they fit one standard taxi.
The airport’s official taxi guide identifies the designated stands and explains taxi categories and night surcharges. Use that guidance to find the appropriate service.
Confirm the room before choosing the ride
If arrival slips past midnight, write the full date and expected hotel-arrival time in a message to your booked accommodation. Ask it to confirm how late check-in works and how it will keep the room available. An arrival at 03:00 on Friday is not the same request as ordinary Friday-afternoon check-in.
You can copy this planning note and fill it in:
My reservation starts on [date]. My flight lands at Incheon [terminal] on [date/time], and I expect to reach the hotel around [date/time]. Please confirm the late check-in procedure and how to keep the room available if the flight is delayed.
If considering a first night near the airport, verify the actual reception or self-check-in arrangements and the transfer at your arrival hour before booking. “Airport hotel” does not itself confirm a round-the-clock shuttle. Compare the full first-night cost, including the next morning’s trip into Seoul and any change to an existing room reservation.
Before leaving the arrivals hall
The airport’s night-bus pages list ticket counters and machines; N6701 and N6703 also support Tmoney GO. For a late arrival, the airport counter is a useful place to confirm the current departure, boarding location and ticket availability.
Save these four details together: arrival terminal → reachable departure → exact city stop → hotel check-in instructions. Keep a taxi or confirmed overnight plan ready if the next suitable bus leaves you with a long wait. If your timing allows rail instead, check the current timetable and the right train product in the AREX guide. If you have not chosen accommodation yet, compare Seoul hotel areas alongside your arrival time.
