Do not send one friend with one passport to buy playoff tickets for the whole group. KBO’s October 20, 2026 notice allows foreign passport holders to buy one ticket per person at the stadium on game day. Plan for each traveler to attend with their own passport. This is a useful route when online booking is blocked, but it does not guarantee a seat. Read KBO’s playoff ticket notice.
Scope: 2026 postseason rules checked October 24, 2026. Check the notice for your exact series and stadium before traveling; this guide does not confirm remaining inventory or next season’s policy.
Online sold out: which queue are you asking about?
There are two different questions to ask at the ground. “Are there any tickets left?” may send you to the general sales line. A foreign visitor should also ask whether the dedicated digital-access ticket window (디지털 취약계층) is operating for that game.
| Route | What the current official information says |
|---|---|
| Dedicated access window | NOL lists a 200-ticket limit shared by visitors aged 65+, disabled visitors and foreigners. Purchases use the dedicated window. |
| General game-day sales | Remaining seats only; sold-out means no purchase through this route. |
| Online booking | KBO names NOL as the exclusive postseason seller, with a maximum of four tickets per person. That online limit does not change the passport window’s one-person limit. |
Sources: NOL’s current postseason guide and KBO’s October 20 notice. The shared allocation can run out. No official source here promises that arriving at a particular time will secure tickets.
Make a group decision before joining the line
Example: three friends, one person sent ahead. If that person plans to use the passport route, the one-person limit will not cover three seats. Arrange for everyone who needs to buy to bring their passport and attend; confirm the stadium’s procedure before splitting up.
Agree on these points beforehand:
- Separate seats: is the group willing to sit apart if adjacent seats are unavailable?
- A partial result: what will you do if only some people can buy? Do not assume an issued ticket can be handed to another person.
- The time budget: set a point at which you leave the queue and switch to another plan.
- The journey home: check the return service before committing to an intercity trip for an unconfirmed seat.
A passport establishes eligibility for the visitor route. It does not reserve inventory for everyone traveling with you.
Check the opening time and the actual window
NOL lists general box-office operation from two hours before first pitch until the end of the eighth inning. KBO also says cancelled tickets, if available, may be sold from two hours before the game. An opening time is not an estimate of when a queue begins.
Ask staff where the dedicated window is at your stadium. The current NOL page specifies a location for Gwangju and Jamsil; that does not identify the Daegu window. Avoid following a Jamsil queue map for a game in another city.
Useful questions to show staff:
| Korean | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 외국인 현장 구매 전용 창구가 어디인가요? | Where is the dedicated window for foreigners buying on site? |
| 이 창구는 몇 시에 열어요? | What time does this window open? |
| 전용 좌석이 아직 남아 있나요? | Are any seats in the dedicated allocation left? |
| 일행과 붙어 앉을 수 있나요? | Can we sit together? |
Save the stadium’s Korean name and address before leaving. Our Naver Map address guide explains how to resolve English-name search problems and check the pin.
Regular-season advice can send you to the wrong place
For a regular-season game, start with the home club’s own ticket policy. For example, Kiwoom’s March 20, 2026 announcement included foreign visitors in a shared 200-seat access scheme at Gocheok: 100 burgundy seats and 100 outfield seats. Its ticket page identifies a dedicated window at the third-base infield box office.
Those details describe Kiwoom’s 2026 home-game policy. They do not establish a postseason window location, current availability or a 2027 entitlement. Match any advice you find to the home team, season and competition stage.
If you already have an online ticket
Follow its admission instructions. NOL says postseason mobile entry uses the live ticket in the app; a screenshot or ticket image is not accepted. Check that you can open the required ticket before leaving Wi-Fi. At an in-person purchase, ask staff how that ticket is issued and used.
Before traveling: confirm the game and venue, bring each buyer’s passport, ask about the dedicated allocation, and keep a backup evening plan. The useful advantage is knowing which official route to ask for and what its limit means for your group.
