One night of luggage storage can mean two billed days. LIT’s overnight-storage FAQ says dropping off today and collecting tomorrow is charged as two days. By comparison, Hanjin’s Incheon Airport storage page defines its daily unit as within 24 hours. Before leaving a suitcase in Seoul for a Busan side trip, check what your provider means by a day.

Official pages checked October 25, 2026. These are the named operators’ published rules, not a universal rule for Korean lockers or a confirmed quote for your dates.

Two different meanings of a daily price

Published arrangementWhat it means for an overnight stayWhat still needs checking
LIT: drop off one day, collect the next; two days chargedCrossing into the next date can create a second day’s fee even before 24 hours have elapsedWhether the selected store accepts the whole overnight period, its opening hours and the final quote
Hanjin at Incheon Airport: daily unit is within 24 hoursA 20-hour stay fits within that published time unitBag classification, the applicable counter and the charge for your exact duration

Hanjin is an airport example. Its billing unit alone is not a reason to take bags from central Seoul to Incheon and back. Compare the storage location with your actual route, including the time and transport cost needed to retrieve the bags.

For station lockers, same-day storage and hotel options, start with our Seoul luggage-storage guide. This article focuses on leaving bags overnight or during a longer side trip.

A worked example: 20 hours, two dates, ₩12,000

Imagine dropping off one suitcase at 15:00 on Tuesday and collecting it at 11:00 on Wednesday, both in Korean time. That is 20 hours, but it covers two calendar dates.

LIT’s current pricing FAQ lists a medium suitcase of up to 27 inches at ₩6,000 per bag per day. Applying its published next-day rule:

One medium suitcase × ₩6,000 × two billed days = ₩12,000.

This is an arithmetic illustration using the published category and rule. It does not confirm a particular store’s overnight availability, acceptance of your bag or checkout total.

The same 20 elapsed hours fit within Hanjin’s published 24-hour unit. That does not make the two services equivalent: Hanjin classifies bags using weight and the sum of three dimensions, and its location is different. Do not carry LIT’s suitcase category or price into a Hanjin calculation.

For a three-day Busan trip, send dates rather than “two nights”

Your storage period starts when you hand over the bags and ends when you collect them. It may extend beyond the nights you sleep away.

Write the itinerary as:

  • Drop-off: [date] at [time, KST].
  • Collection: [date] at [time, KST].
  • Bags: [quantity], with each bag’s dimensions and weight.
  • Required answer: total charge for that exact interval, including any extra-day or overtime charge.

Ask the store to confirm the maximum accepted storage period as well. A short-term rate table does not establish that a particular location will accept several days.

For Hanjin, the published 24-hour unit does not by itself resolve every longer-stay rounding rule. Obtain the exact total rather than assuming how a 49-hour stay will be priced.

If you return to the same hotel after Busan, ask that hotel about your specific dates before buying separate storage. A hotel’s willingness to hold bags for a few hours does not establish permission for several nights between stays.

Price and pickup hours are separate decisions

LIT’s FAQ says store hours vary. It also says that missing closing time means collection at the next opening and an extra day’s fee. Build your return train itinerary around the actual store’s collection window, allowing for the journey from the station.

Hanjin’s airport page lists its Terminal 2 third-floor counter near Gate 1 on the west side as operating 00:00–24:00. That listing belongs to that counter; do not apply it to every airport desk or city storage location.

Before choosing your return service, compare the Seoul–Busan KTX and express-bus routes with the collection deadline. If you plan to send the bags elsewhere instead of collecting them, check our Incheon luggage-delivery cutoff guide: delivery is a separate service with its own timing.

A message to get a usable quote

I would like to leave [number and size of bags] at [exact branch] from [date and time, KST] until [date and time, KST]. Each bag’s dimensions and weight are [details]. Can this branch accept the full period? Please confirm the total price, whether a day means a calendar date or a 24-hour period, and any overtime or extra-day charges. Will I be able to collect at the stated time? What happens if my return is delayed until after closing?

Keep the reply with your booking. The useful comparison is the confirmed total for your bags and dates, at a location you can reach before collection closes.
